The West Indian Softball Association kicked off its official season with the first round of play in the twenty five over round robin competition last Sunday in the Tri State area. To say it was a chilly day is a huge understatement. Actually, it was a cold and blustery day but, the players did not let that damper their spirits.
On a day where bowlers and fielders found it hard to cope with the adverse conditions, the batsmen begged to differ. There were three centurions. Queens Village's D. Morgan pulverized United B's bowling attack for 126. Vicky Subkarran turned in a match winning unbeaten 115 over President XI for Dynasty while Rising Star's Kawal Persaud 103 over Rebels set up their win.
Here is the summary of scores from last week's Premier Elite division.
Dynasty beat President XI by seven wickets.
Cornered Tigers beat Majestics by 55 runs.
Richmond Hill SC over Wild Bunch by 9 runs.
Rising Stars beat Rebels by 123 runs.
